Join Our Patrol
We are always looking for new members. The more patrollers we have, the more patrols we can get on the road, therefore making our community safer. If you are 18 yrs or over and a person who cares for the safety of our community and is willing to give up 3 - 4 hours per month either during the day or at night, then download the application forms through the link above and contact us. You must be either a NZ citizen/resident or have a NZ working or student visa, as well as having a clean police record. You do not need to have a driver’s license nor need your own vehicle, although these would an advantage.
We are given information by the police of locations of concern in the area we patrol, however if you feel there are areas that you are concerned about don’t hesitate to inform Police or the Patrol and we will include your area in our patrol route.
Patrollers will have the opportunity to spend some time with the police and go out on one of their shifts to see how they operate.
Mount Roskill Community Patrol has been approached by the police on several occasions to help out with some of their policing operations.
Many people have said that being part of the Patrol is very satisfying and they enjoy the opportunity to meet others in our community.
